Greetings,
I would like to invite you to find out more about my research project on the global herpetological community and to be a part of the research process by completing the websurvey at this website:http://www.deakin.edu.au/arts/herpetological
My name is Alexia Fry and I am undertaking this research for my PhD thesis in sociology through Deakin University in Australia. I am interested in finding out about how people get involved in their herpetological interests, how they get to know other people with herpetological interests and the ways that they get involved with the formal and informal social channels of the community (including internet use such as on this forum).
I anticipate that the results of this research will prove useful to people who have interests in displaying the great diversity of people involved in the herpetological community, all of whom invest much personal commitment to their herpetological interests.
I appreciate your time and look forward to sharing the results of the research with you.
regards
Alexia
