Eine schnelle Ergänzung zur oben erwähnten Referenz von J.I. Menzies: Das genannte Werk "Handbook of Common New Guinea Frogs" wurde 1975 publiziert.

Desweiteren gibt es für die Herpetofauna der genannten Bereiche eine lange Liste von Literatur. Es wäre daher vielleicht sinnvoll, bestimmte Gattungen zu nennen, die für sie von besonderem Interesse sind.

Das Buch war mein Weihnachtsgeschenk Nr.1, es ist erhältlich über Chimaira. Habe schon mit Verwunderung zur Kenntnis nehmen müssen, das Tribolonotus gracilis für die Salomonen dort gar nicht genannt ist.

In Ausgabe von 1980 hat McCoy weder T. gracilis noch novaeguineae von dort gemeldet. Nach O'Shea (1991) sind beide Arten in Neuguinea beheimatet.
