Ganz Wichtig!!!!

Hallo
Ich habe eine ganz wichtige Frage unswar wollte ich mir ein Zwergchamäleon Tanzania auch Rhampholeon brevicaudata zulegen und jetzt wollte ich fragen ob jemand ein paar Bilder oder infos darüber hätte???

Entschuldigung das ich den Namen falsch geschrieben habe aber ich war auf www.Reptilica.de und da war der name so geschrieben!!!Aber jetzt weis ichs ja!!

Seit wann heißt denn Rhampholeon brevicaudatus Rieppeleon brevicaudatus? Ich meine das muß ja ziemlich neu sein, oder? Hast Du vielleicht noch weitere Infos zu dem Thema(wurden alle Arten der Gattung Rhampholeon umbenannt, und vor allem warum)?

The phylogenetic associations among the 13 currently recognized African leaf chameleon
species were investigated by making use of mitochondrial and nuclear DNA sequence data (44
7TH HERPETOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION OF AFRICA SYMPOSIUM–PORT ELIZABETH, SOUTH AFRICA 2004
taxa and 4145 characters).

The gene tree indicates two divergent clades within Rhampholeon
and this finding is congruent with previous morphological suggestions. The first clade (I)
comprises three taxa (R. kerstenii, R. brevicaudatus and R. brachyurus) and is widely
distributed in lowland forest and or non-forest biomes. The second clade (II) comprises the
remaining Rhampholeon species and can be subdivided into three sub-clades. In contrast, most
taxa belonging to clade II are confined to relict montane forest biotopes. Based on
geographical, morphological and molecular evidence it is suggested that the taxonomy of
Rhampholeon be revised to include two genera (Rieppeleon and Rhampholeon) and three subgenera
(Rhampholeon, Bicuspis and Rhinodigitum). There is a close correlation between
geographic distribution and phylogenetic relatedness among Rhampholeon taxa indicating that
vicariance and climate change were possibly the most influential factors driving speciation in
the group. A relaxed Bayesian clock suggests that speciation times coincided both with the
northern movement of Africa which caused the constriction of the pan African forest and to
rifting in east Africa approximately 20 MYA. Subsequent speciation among taxa was probably
the result of gradual desiccation of forests between 20 and five MYA.

Nix zu danken, ich freu mich ja wenn ich auf Leute treffe die sich gern mit Systematik und Taxonomie beschäftigen. Leider finden 90% der Halter die ich kenne solche Texte sterbenslangweilig.

Wenn ich ganz ehrlich bin gehöre ich auch zu den 90%. Aber in diesem Fall interessiert es mich doch. Schließlich will man seine Nachzuchten ja auch unter der korrekten wissenschaftlichen Bezeichnung abgeben. Es macht sich halt nicht so gut, wenn man die Tiere unter einem veralteten Namen abgibt.
